 Ahmad M. Fahmy received his professional education from the Illinois College of Optometry and received his Doctor of Optometry degree in May 2001. He completed residency training in peri-operative care of refractive surgery, glaucoma, and anterior segment pathology with Minnesota Eye Consultants, P.A. He earned Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry in 2004 and joined Minnesota Eye Consultants, P.A. also in 2004.
He is a member of the Minnesota Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, and Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. He has been involved in clinical care of disadvantaged populations in the Dominican Republic and Peru. He is devoted to continued involvement in the development of philanthropic eye care projects. He is actively involved in numerous clinical research trials and has been a guest lecturer at The Philips Eye Institute, Minnesota Optometric Association, The Peru School of Optometry and Science in Lima, Peru.
