Dr. Bergstedt is a board-certified ophthalmologist and member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology since 1974. He also is a member of the American Medical Association, Hennepin County Medical Society and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

Dr. Bergstedt has spent his entire career in private practice, beginning in St. Paul and extending to Bloomington and other Twin Cities suburbs. He also serves as assistant clinical instructor at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
