Ophthalmic Technician
Status: Full-time, 40 hours/week
The qualified candidate will have at least one year of experience and hold current COA, COT or COMT certification. Excellent retinoscopy/refractometry skills desired.
Duties include: patient histories and workups and comprehensive diagnostic testing including refractometry, tonometry, keratometry, biomicroscopy, A-scans, pachymetry, photography, visual fields, BATs, PAMs, GDX, corneal topography, microscopy and other tests as directed. This position may assist with minor surgical procedures and serve as first assistant in surgery as required.
Candidate must be open to traveling to other metro locations if needed. Travel time and mileage may be reimbursed.

Requirements: The qualified candidate will have excellent communication and organization skills and be responsive to internal and external customer needs in a personable manner. Associate's degree from two-year college and/or two years related experience required. Medical office experience strongly preferred. Candidate must be willing to travel to other clinic locations throughout the Metro area. Time and mileage may be reimbursed when traveling to other clinics.

Duties Include: Position is responsible for planning, auditing, and ensuring compliance with all internal and external quality reporting requirements as determined by the practice such as Meaningful Use Core, Menu and Quality Measures, CMS, the Minnesota Department of Health and other external agencies. Candidate will design and help implement functional processes for data collection, data management and reporting using industry standards, methods and statistics while ensuring integrity of data by conducting audits and working closely with staff and physicians to advance compliance. Candidate will also serve as HIPAA compliance officer for the organization
Requirements: Candidate must possess strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards and guidelines. Previous experience with EHR and EPM systems and industry reporting tools is a plus. This position works closely with the IT department and develops and leads teams across functional groups throughout the practice.
Duties Include: Pre-op, post-op, circulating in and ambulatory environment. Day hours and no on-call hours.
