Please welcome Dr. Mark Larson as Minnesota Eye Consultants’ 2023-2024 MD Glaucoma Fellow. Dr. Larson brings a wealth of experience and special interest in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma to our practice and provides care out of our Blaine and Minnetonka offices.
Dr. Larson completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he served as Chief Resident. Prior to that, he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota, followed by a Transitional Year Internship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Larson’s academic achievements also include graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Creighton University.
Alongside his medical training, Dr. Larson has actively engaged in community service, routinely volunteering his time for underinsured community members. He is an active researcher, and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Medical Association.
When he’s not seeing patients, Dr. Larson enjoys spending time with his wife, Alyssa, and family. He is an avid indoor gardener and takes great pride in nurturing his Meyer lemon tree. Additionally, Dr. Larson also enjoys playing tennis and basketball and cheering on his favorite sports teams.
