Please also join us in welcoming Brianna Johnson, O.D., as our 2025–26 Optometric Fellow! Dr. Johnson is originally from Jamestown, North Dakota. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2023 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Health Science from the College of Saint Benedict, where she also minored in Theology.
Dr. Johnson brings a strong background in medical optometry and surgical co-management. During her time as an Associate Optometrist at Lifetime Vision 20/20, she provided care for a wide range of ocular conditions, including glaucoma, dry eye disease, herpetic keratitis, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. She also managed post-operative care for patients following cataract, refractive, glaucoma, and retinal surgeries, and fit scleral lenses for severe dry eye.
Her clinical training includes externships at the Mayo Clinic Health System, Lebanon VA Medical Center, and Pacific University’s Low Vision/Ocular Disease Clinic. She also has experience providing low vision services at the Washington State School for the Blind.
Dr. Johnson has contributed to academic literature as a co-author in The Ophthalmic Office Procedures Handbook and has been involved in both contact lens and nutrition-based research. Her commitment to community outreach is evident through her service trips to Guatemala and Oregon with AMIGOS, where she provided free eye care to underserved populations.
She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the North Dakota Optometric Association.
In her free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys playing the flute, journaling, and exploring the outdoors on long walks.
