Douglas G. Tani, MD obtained his undergraduate degree at Yale University and his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. After an internship at Hennepin County Medical Center, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the Mayo Clinic Dept. of Ophthalmology.
Before joining Minnesota Eye Consultants, Dr. Tani practiced at Tani Eye Associates and Clinic, PA (1978-2018). He currently serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota Dept. of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Tani is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. His professional affiliations include the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Tani sees patients out of our Woodbury office, focusing on medical ophthalmology, comprehensive eye examinations, and treatment of ocular disease. In his free time, he enjoys and has had a long-time interest in cooking, food and wine (for “medicinal purposes only”) and photography. He also likes to play golf and travel internationally.
