Please welcome Jacob Jenness, O.D., to Minnesota Eye Consultants as our 2022-2023 Optometric Fellow!
Dr. Jenness will be practicing out of our Woodbury office. Dr. Jenness is originally from Spirit Lake, Iowa and received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology Health Professions from Northwestern College, in Orange City, Iowa. He received his Doctor of Optometry from Michigan College of Optometry, in Big Rapids, Michigan, where he graduated with highest distinction. He completed three externships at the Eye Clinic of Wisconsin, in Wausau, Wisconsin (2022), Oscar G. Johnson VAMC, Iron Mountain, Michigan (2021), and University Eye Center, Big Rapids, Michigan (2021).
He has received several honors and achievements, including making the Dean’s List every semester while earning his Doctor of Optometry, voted community service coordinator for the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, selected to 2018 All-State AFCA Good Works Team, and voted team captain of Northwestern College’s football team.
In his spare time, Dr. Jenness enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors. He is passionate about sports and getting kids to participate. Dr. Jenness is also heavily involved with his church and likes to give back to his community in any way he can.
