Dr. Lorin Larson a optometrist with Minnesota Eye Consultants. She practices out of our Woodbury office and looks forward to helping patients with their comprehensive eye car needs.
Dr. Larson received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Minnesota and completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern College of Optometry, in Memphis, Tennessee. She completed a clinical internship at the Eye Center at the Southern College of Optometry, followed by two clinical externships at the Memphis VAMC and the Pine Cone Vision Center in Sartell, Minnesota.
She has previously worked as a Surgery Coordinator, Optometric Technician, and Scribe at Southwest Eye Care in Chaska, Minnesota, gaining valuable Optometric experience in the field. Throughout her training and education, Dr. Larson received several honors, including Beta Sigma Kappa – International Optometric Honor Society, as well as Honors Clinic in Fall 2019, Spring 2020, Summer 2020, Spring 2021, and Fall 2021.
Dr. Larson has been an active volunteer throughout her training, serving as a Minnesota State Representative (2019-2020) for Midwestern States Club at the Southern College of Optometry, where she promoted students to practice within the state of Minnesota. She was also a Calvary Episcopal Church Breakfast Volunteer, where she partnered with SCO Fellowship of Christian Optometrists to prepare and serve breakfast for the homeless population in downtown Memphis.
In her spare time, Dr. Larson enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and spending time with her husband and family. She and her husband are also expecting our first child on Halloween!
