Another successful year of Operation Eyesight has come and gone!

Patients struggle around the world with poor vision, and unfortunately, many have insufficient finances to help improve or stabilize their eyesight. The Minnesota Eye Foundation has recognized that this very real concern is present not only in other countries, but also in our own backyard.

14 years ago, Operation Eyesight was created as a way for the Minnesota Eye Foundation and the surgeons and staff of Minnesota Eye Consultants to give back to the community they so dearly adore. The equipment, medications and surgical supplies are all donated, and the staff, anesthesiologists and physicians volunteer their time and expertise to help preserve, restore and enhance the vision of our community members in need.

Operation Eyesight took place on Saturday, February 27th and Saturday, March 12th this year, offering our surgeons the opportunity to perform 19 surgeries at no charge!

Taking part in Operation Eyesight is a true pleasure for everyone – the patients and arguably even more so, the staff and physicians. We take pride in our community and know the importance of helping those who are currently in a bind.

Here are some photos from this year’s surgical dates!
