Minnesota Eye Consultants is excited to invite you to the annual Strides 4 Sight 5K Run/Walk, Kids Fun Run, and Silent Auction! This community event brings together families, friends, and supporters to raise funds for the Minnesota Eye Foundation’s Vision Project, helping provide life-changing eye surgeries for those in need. Schedule of Events
- 8:30 AM – Registration check-in & day-of registration option
- 9:00 AM – Kids Fun Run begins & Silent Auction opens
- 9:30 AM – 5K Run/Walk
- 10:30 AM – Awards
Registration
- 5K Run/Walk: $35 per adult (12+) – includes T-shirt & race bib (day-of registration increases to $45)
- Kids Fun Run: $15 per child (ages 1–12) – includes T-shirt*, race bib, ribbon & goody bag (day-of registration increases to $25)
Kids’ Area Fun! Face painting, yard games, tattoos, DJ music, and more will keep the little ones smiling.

Silent Auction
Don’t miss the Silent Auction, always a highlight! Bid on sports gear, tickets, restaurant gift certificates, and more.
- Online Bidding Opens: Friday, September 19 at 10:00 AM
- Online Bidding Closes: Monday, September 22 at 10:00 AM
- Onsite Bidding: Available during the event, with a “Want It Now” option to take items home that day.
All proceeds benefit the Minnesota Eye Foundation and its charitable programs.
About the Minnesota Eye Foundation
The Minnesota Eye Foundation (MEF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to enriching the quality of life for individuals across Minnesota through charitable outreach, education, and research. Since its founding in 2005, MEF has provided:
- Charitable eye care services for uninsured, low-income individuals.
- Clinical research and fellowship training.
- Continuing education for ophthalmologists and optometrists.
One of its most impactful programs, The Vision Project, provides no-cost cataract and glaucoma surgeries to patients who would otherwise go without care. Each year, volunteer surgeons, optometrists, nurses, and anesthetists donate their time and expertise, restoring sight and changing lives.
