Strides 4 Sight

The 3rd annual Strides 4 Sight 5k Walk/Run and Kids Fun Run is just a few months away, and we’re already looking forward to another successful event! We have a new website dedicated solely to Strides 4 Sight, and there are already some fun new changes in place for this year’s race.

At this point, here’s what you need to know about the 2016 Strides 4 Sight fundraiser.

Save the Date: The race will take place on Saturday, October 8th, once again at the beautiful Como Lake. The Kids Fun Run will begin at 8:30am, followed by the 5k Walk/Run at 9:00am.

The cost will be the same as last year: $25 for adults to Walk/Run the 5k and $10 for the Kids Fun Run (ages 2-11). The price does increase to $30 on October 1st, so register today! You can complete the online registration on our new user-friendly website,

Why We Do It:
The money raised for Strides 4 Sight is given right back to folks in our very own community. Think about your friend or neighbor who’s been struggling financially. What if they needed a medical eye procedure to help restore or save their vision, but just simply couldn’t afford it? That’s where the Minnesota Eye Foundation steps in, along with the physicians and staff of Minnesota Eye Consultants. Medically necessary eye procedures are performed by the surgeons at Minnesota Eye Consultants through a program called Operation Eyesight. These procedure dates occur twice a year and Strides 4 Sight has played a crucial role in funding Operation Eyesight, making it possible to offer these life-changing surgeries.

The last two Strides 4 Sight races have been memorable to say the least. We hope you and your friends, family and co-workers can join us this year and help support a great cause. We look forward to seeing you at Como Lake on October 8th!
